Webinar on supervising master’s theses at the Deanship of the FLHS
The Deanship of the Faculty of Letters & Human Sciences organized a webinar entitled “Supervising Master’s Theses: Academic & Administrative Tasks,” attended by the Dean of the Faculty, Dr. Soha El Samad, and more than ninety faculty members.
Dean El Samad highlighted the supervisor’s responsibility and their essential role in guiding students to ensure the quality of scientific research and uphold the value of the degree awarded by the faculty.
Dr. Maha Jarjour then presented the supervisor’s duties in the age of AI and indicators that help detect generated text, and proposed mechanisms to regulate the use of AI models in scientific research.
Dr. Nada Elias discussed the academic and administrative duties of supervisors in detail, while Dr. Tania Faour explained the updated administrative forms that will soon be distributed to the branches and the Center for Languages & Translation, and Center for Languages & Communication Sciences for adoption, with the aim of ensuring the quality of workflow.
