The FFAA - Branch 2 ranks first in short film competition at ARWE - Torino
The Faculty of Fine Arts & Architecture – Branch 2 won first place in the short film competition at the Art Research World Expo, held in Torino - Italy with the participation of 21 universities and art faculties from around the world.
The prestigious international award was won by student Maria Mhawej of the Film & TV Department at the faculty for her film “When I Go to Sleep”.
The film tells the story of young Syrian refugees in Lebanon, where they work to earn a living while their dreams transcend their difficult living conditions.
Dr. Hisham Zeineddine, Dean of the Faculty of Fine Arts & Architecture, participated in the expo and the Arts Research Lab at Albertina Academy, the expo organizer, at the invitation of Silvio Bertonati, Dean of the Academy’s Faculty of Arts.
