The FFAA - Branch 4 organized an architectural seminar
The Faculty of Fine Arts & Architecture – Branch 4 organized an architectural seminar dedicated to presenting the architectural project “Canyon Float,” which has been included on the International Honor Roll. The project was designed and supervised by Dr. Khaled Abou Taam and received an honorable mention in the international competition: "Compact City Living: The Microhome Challenge".
The seminar was attended by Branch Director Dr. Zaher Abdul Khalek, Head of the Department of Architecture Dr. Claude Habib, and members of the faculty, in addition to a group of students and guests.
The lecture was presented by Dr. Khaled Abou Taam, a faculty member and the project’s creator, who addressed the conceptual, environmental, and urban dimensions of the Canyon Float project, highlighting innovative approaches to floating architecture, compact housing, environmental sustainability, and the development of more resilient and adaptable urban systems.
The seminar reflected the ongoing role of the faculty in promoting contemporary architectural discourse and encouraging students to engage in forward-thinking design approaches with a global dimension and a forward-looking vision.
