The Faculty of Science - Branch 3 organized the Innovation Forum in Computer Science
The Faculty of Science – Branch 3 organized the “Forum on Innovation in Computer Science: From Campus to Industry” in collaboration with Beirut Arab University – Tripoli Branch, with the participation of more than thirty specialized companies and a large audience of academics and business leaders.
Dr. Hassan Tout, Head of the Department of Informatics at the Faculty of Science - Branch 3 emphasized the importance of building effective partnerships between universities and the technology sector to help develop students’ skills and enhance their career opportunities.
Dr. Abdallah El Chakik, Dean of the Faculty of Science at Beirut Arab University — Tripoli Branch, spoke about the importance of cooperation between academic institutions and the integration of their roles in preparing a generation capable of keeping pace with rapid developments in computer science and artificial intelligence.
Dr. Ahmad Allouch, Director of the Faculty of Science - Branch 3, noted the faculty’s commitment to linking academic curriculum with professional realities and providing an educational environment that meets the demands of the job market and fosters creativity and innovation among students.
The speeches concluded with Dr. Ali Kanj, Dean of the Faculty of Science, who emphasized the importance of strengthening cooperation between the university and the productive sector, which will have a positive impact on students, scientific research, and national development.
Dean Kanj noted that such events provide a genuine opportunity for students to interact directly with experts and leading companies and institutions, and to learn about the demands, challenges, and future opportunities of the job market. He added that these events also allow institutions to discover the young talent and creativity that abound at our university, thereby enhancing opportunities for mutual cooperation and partnership.
