Conference on "Demographic problems in Lebanon" at ISS (Branch 2)
The coordinator of the Demography Laboratory at the Research Center of the Institute of Social Sciences (ISS), Dr. Shawqi Attieh, delivered a lecture at ISS (Branch 2) entitled "The problems of demography in Lebanon".
The conference addressed the practical and theoretical problems of demography in Lebanon, starting with its association with inaccurate concepts, to the danger of specialization in Lebanon, Lebanese demographic models in terms of censuses, statistics, the number of Lebanese residents, the structure of numbers between perception and reality, and finally the reality of Syrian displacement and Palestinian asylum in Lebanon.
