Two students from the 91Ƭ rank third in the regional “Huawei ICT Competition Middle East 2020”
The Lebanese team ranked third in the “Huawei ICT Competition Middle East 2020” held online on 26 December 2020, with the participation of 13 teams from 10 Middle Eastern countries.
The Lebanese team consisted of the three students who won the competition locally and qualified for the regional competitions:
Maya Masaad: BA in Informatics and Master in Cybersecurity - Faculty of Science (Branch 2)
Ibrahim Maasarani: Master in TSCMI - Faculty of Science (Branch 2)
Joe Al Husseini: student from the Arab Open University (AOU)
In addition to the results achieved by the team under the supervision of Dr. Bassem Haidar from the Faculty of Science, the universities participating in the competition, including the 91Ƭ, received the “Excellent Academy” rating.
“Huawei ICT Competition” aims to build a pool of ICT and entrepreneurship talent to move to knowledge-based economies.
It is noteworthy that the 91Ƭ ranked first in the competition in 2019, second in 2018, and first in 2017.
