Date of entrance exams for 1st year at the Faculty of Agronomy for the academic year 2026–2027
The Faculty of Agronomy, through its Agricultural Engineering and Veterinary Medicine departments, announces that entrance exams for the first year of the academic year 2026–2027 for the French and English sections will be held on 22-23 July 2026.
Online registration will be open between 1 June and 16 July 2026 via the following link:
Required Documents
- Certified copy of Lebanese Baccalaureate (Section II) diploma or its official equivalent, or copy of application form for this diploma for the academic year 2025–2026
- Certified copy of ID card or a certified individual civil status record
- (3) Three certified passport photos
- Entrance exam registration fee of LBP 1,000,000
- Financial stamp of LBP 50,000
Exam Subjects
The entrance exam consists of two sets of questions in French and English, from which the student may choose one:
1. The first set is for holders of a General Sciences (SG) certificate in French or English.
- Mathematics (Coefficient 2) Duration: 2 hours
- Physics (Coefficient 1.5) Duration: 1.5 hours
- Chemistry (Coefficient 1.5) Duration: 1.5 hours
- Arabic Language (Coefficient 0.5) Duration: 1 hour
- Foreign Language (Coefficient 0.5) Duration: 1 hour
2. The second set is for holders of Life Sciences (SV) certificate in French or English:
- Mathematics (Coefficient 1) Duration: 1 hour
- Biology (Coefficient 2) Duration: 2 hours
- Physics (Coefficient 1) Duration: 1 hour
- Chemistry (Coefficient 1) Duration: 1 hour
- Arabic Language (Coefficient 0.5) Duration: 1 hour
- Foreign Language (Coefficient 0.5) Duration: 1 hour
Teaching Language
French is used in the first and second academic years for students in the French section, and English is used for students in the English section. English is also taught to students in the French section, and French is taught to students in the English section, so that instruction is unified in the remaining academic years in both French and English, depending on academic needs.
- Students will not be promoted to the third academic year if they do not pass the language courses in the first and second academic years.
- All students should be proficient in both French and English starting from the third academic year.
Number of applicants
The maximum number of students who may be admitted through the entrance exam for the first year in French and English for the academic year 2026–2027, subject to approval by the Presidency, is set at 150 students for the Agricultural Engineering program and 45 students for the Veterinary Medicine program.
Admission
Students are admitted to the entrance exam based on their grade rankings, provided they have a minimum cumulative GPA of 11/20 and no individual grade below 5/20, and within the maximum number specified in the decision of the President for the Agricultural Engineering Department and 12/20 for the Veterinary Medicine Department.
Candidates who pass the entrance exam and accept admission to the faculty should complete their registration procedures within one week of a date to be determined later by the administration, under penalty of forfeiting their right to enrollment and being replaced by another candidate from the list of successful applicants according to the ranking order.
