Memorandum No. 8 to candidates for the entrance exam for the second academic year and certain academic years at the Faculty of Medical Sciences for the academic year 2024鈥�2025

The Dean of the Faculty of Medical Sciences announces that the distribution of exam subjects and their timing for the entrance exam for the second academic year and certain academic years in the third and fourth years are detailed as follows:

First: Second-Year Exam 鈥� General Medicine

Second: Third-Year Exam 鈥� General Medicine

Third: Fourth-Year Exam 鈥� General Medicine

Note to all candidates for the entrance exam: You should follow and comply with the exam rules in effect at the Faculty of Medical Sciences. Violators will be subject to legal action.

Announcement to Candidates for the Entrance Exam for the Second Academic Year and Certain Other Years at the Faculty of Medical Sciences for the 2024鈥�2025 Academic Year

The Dean of the Faculty of Medical Sciences hereby announces the following to candidates for the entrance exam to the Faculty of Medical Sciences:

First:

a. The entrance exam for the first year of the General Medicine program will be held at 3:00 pm on Monday and Tuesday, 9 and 10 September 2024, at the faculty building in Hadath.

Second: The entrance exam for certain academic years at the Faculty of Medical Sciences will be held at 3:00 pm on Monday and Tuesday, 9 and 10 September 2024, at the faculty building in Hadath.

Third: Applications for admission to the entrance exam will be accepted at the Student Affairs Office of the Faculty of Medical Sciences from Monday, 15 July 2024, through Wednesday, 31 July 2024, inclusive, and from Monday, 2 September 2024, through Wednesday, 4 September 2024, inclusive, on Mondays, Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays of each week from 9:00 am to 1:00 pm at the faculty building in Hadath.

Fourth: Each candidate should present their candidate ID card or student ID on the day of the exam.

Fifth: Only students who achieved a grade point average of 12/20 or higher in their first year at the Faculty of Science at the 91制片厂, in accordance with the curriculum of the Faculty of Medical Sciences, or its equivalent at faculties with curricula equivalent to that of the Faculty of Medical Sciences, are eligible to participate in this entrance exam.

Documents requested from candidates for the entrance exam to the second academic year and certain subsequent academic years at the Faculty of Medical Sciences for the academic year 2024鈥�2025

First: For LU students

• • High school diploma (Part II) or its equivalent (certified copy)
  • Certified copy of civil status record
  • (2) Two certified passport photos
  • (1) One financial stamp worth LBP 20,000
  • Participating fee of LBP 500,000 LBP

Second: For students transferring from outside the 91制片厂 for the second, third, and fourth academic years: (In-person attendance is mandatory)

A certified transcript from the candidate鈥檚 previous university, demonstrating that the curriculum is at least equivalent to that of the aforementioned years in the Faculty of Medical Sciences, provided that the overall GPA is no less than 12/20.

Grades earned by the student during their years of study

The candidate鈥檚 previous university program

Certified copy of high school diploma (Part II) or its equivalent

Certified copy of the student鈥檚 civil status record

Two certified passport photos

One financial stamp worth LBP 20,000

Participation fee of LBP 500,000

Circular to all students participating in the entrance exam for the Faculty of Medical Sciences for the academic year 2024鈥�2025

Further to Memorandum No. 8 dated 13 June 2024, and the announcement registered with the Faculty of Medical Sciences in Hadath under No. 530/P/2024 dated 13 June 2024 (regarding the procedure for the entrance exam for the second academic year and certain other academic years of the academic year 2024鈥�2025), signed by the Dean, Professor Saada Alame, on 13 June 2024.

All incoming students from the 91制片厂 (who are applying for the exam for the first time only) are requested to enter their information via the Google Form () using the link provided in the announcement on the 91制片厂 website () in order to facilitate the registration process.

Only students who achieved a grade point average of 12/20 or higher in their first year at the Faculty of Science at the 91制片厂鈥攆ollowing the curriculum of the Faculty of Medical Sciences鈥攐r its equivalent at faculties with curricula equivalent to that of the Faculty of Medical Sciences are eligible to participate in this entrance exam.

Applications for the entrance exam will be accepted at the Student Affairs Office of the Faculty of Medical Sciences from Monday, 15 July 2024, through Wednesday, 31 July 2024 inclusive, and from Monday, 2 September 2024, through Wednesday, 4 September 2024, inclusive. Applications will be accepted on Mondays, Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays of each week from 9:00 am to 1:00 pm at the faculty building in Hadath.

Students wishing to apply for the entrance exam are requested to bring the following documents: (In-person attendance is mandatory)

1. For LU students:

• High school diploma (Part II) or its equivalent (certified copy)
• Certified copy of civil status record (does not need to be recent)
• Two certified passport photos
• One financial stamp worth LBP 20,000
• Participation fee of LBP 500,000

2. For students transferring from outside the 91制片厂 and from outside Lebanon for the second, third, and fourth academic years: (In-person attendance is mandatory)

• • High school diploma (Part II) or its equivalent (certified copy)
  • Certified copy of civil status record (does not need to be recent)
  • Two certified passport photos
  • One financial stamp worth LBP 20,000
  • Participation fee of LBP 500,000
  • Certified transcript from the candidate鈥檚 previous university (if the university is outside Lebanon, please also have the transcript certified by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs), equivalent to at least the curricula for the years mentioned above in the Faculty of Medical Sciences, provided that the overall GPA is no less than 12/20.
  • Transcript of grades the student earned during their years of study (if the university is outside Lebanon, please also have the transcript authenticated by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs).
  • Curriculum of the university from which the candidate is coming (if the university is outside Lebanon, please also have it authenticated by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs).

Warning: Any attempt to falsify information will be detected by the relevant authorities, and the offender will bear full responsibility.

The entrance exam for the second academic year and certain academic years of the General Medicine program will be held at 3:00 pm on Monday and Tuesday, 9 and 10 September 2024, at the faculty building in Hadath.

Very Important: Each candidate should present their registration card along with their ID or a proof of enrollment with a Lebanon Post receipt on the day of the exam.

Registration days will be divided according to the first letter of the last name (in the foreign language) as follows:

ATTENTION ALL STUDENTS:

• If the family name starts with El, E doesn鈥檛 count as first letter.
• If the family name starts with Al, A doesn鈥檛 count as first letter.
