Chapter I: General Provisions
Article 1
A Doctor of Pharmacy degree shall be established in each Faculty of Pharmacy at the 91Ƭ and shall replace the Pharmacist Diploma stipulated in Decree No. 1118 dated 12/10/1983.
Article 2
The term pharmacist diploma is repealed wherever it appears in Decree No. 1118 dated 12/10/1983.
Article 3
The Doctor of Pharmacy degree is a six-year undergraduate degree that culminates in a dissertation.
Article 4
Subject to the provisions of Decree No. 1118 dated 12/10/1983 regarding the curriculum and method of preparing the first methodological year in Cycle 1, the Doctor of Pharmacy degree is prepared in three cycles distributed as follows:
- Cycle 1: Consists of two semester years.
- Cycle 2: It consists of two methodological years.
- Cycle 3: Consists of two methodological years.
According to the curricula attached to this decree.
Article 5
The curricula attached to this decree shall be amended by a decision of the University Council based on the proposal of the Faculty Council.
Article 6
The Faculty of Pharmacy shall establish a Lebanese doctorate degree in pharmaceutical sciences, provided that its curricula, duration of study and regulations shall be determined by a decision issued by the University Council based on the proposal of the Faculty Council.
Article 7
The term “Doctor of Pharmacy Diploma” is repealed wherever it appears in Decree No. 1118 dated 12/10/1983.
Chapter II: Transitional Provisions
Article 8
Students currently enrolled in the Faculty of Pharmacy, after obtaining a pharmacy diploma, can continue their studies to obtain a Doctor of Pharmacy degree according to a system determined by the University Council based on the proposal of the Faculty Council.
Article 9
This decree shall be published and communicated as needed, and its provisions shall take effect as of the academic year 1993-1994.
