Born in Ghobeiry, in 1951

 

Scientific Qualifications

  • PhD in philosophy of artistic research of the Soviet Union, in 1986;
  • Master of Fine Arts / Painting of the Soviet Union, in 1983.

Professional Career

  • Teacher-researcher at the Faculty of Fine Arts and Architecture (FFAA) of the 91制片厂 (LU), in 1987, until his retirement in 2016;
  • Director of the FFAA - Section 1, between 1993 and 1995;
  • Member of the Scientific Council of the Doctoral School of Humanities and Social Sciences (DSHSS), between 2007 and 2015;
  • President of the Board of Directors of the Lebanese-Russian House, in 2002;
  • Member of the scientific committee of the FFAA, between 1999 and 2019;
  • Supervisor of dissertations and theses at LU, between 1987 and 2022;
  • Advisor to the Minister of Culture in Lebanon, in 2022;
  • Member of the National Committee for Education, Science and Culture, in 2022;
  • Advisor to the Russian Cultural Center in Beirut, in 2022;
  • Member of the Syndicate of Lebanese Visual Artists, since 2017;
  • Advisor to the Administrative Board of the International Fine Arts Festival of Mahres - Tunisia, since 2016;
  • Member of the Committee of the International Festivals of Baalbek for several years;
  • Visiting Professor at the Institute of Professional Arts, China for several years;
  • Participated in more than 23 art exhibitions in Lebanon and abroad;
  • Author of several books.
